The Easy Chair

I have a new chair. Mom found it at Goodwill for $3 and said the price was right. I need a little help figuring out how to get into my chair, but I can get out by myself! Now I can sit in a chair just like my daddy does!

Sitting in my chair after school. I like to kick my legs back and forth.

I decided I needed to relax a little before bed too. Man, this chair is comfy!

An easy chair... an easy button... that was easy!

The Weekend

I had a busy weekend! I saw a lot of grandma and grandpa because grandma watched me Saturday while my parents were at a football game, and then all of us went out to eat on Sunday to celebrate grandma's birthday. Everyone was amazed by how much food I ate at the restaurant. I had chicken, cheese, watermelon, egg yolk, cantelope and water to wash it down. I fell asleep on the car ride home because my tummy was so full!

Grandma has the neatest little people in her shelf!

Brooklynn is helping me with my bottle - she hung out with me and grandma on Saturday.

Look at silly grandpa! I don't know what he did to have so much hair all of a sudden!

Mommy had me wear this shirt just for grandpa. He'll come around some day.

Uncle Jeremy is teaching me all sorts of fun stuff at lunch.

It was really cold this weekend. Daddy put this huge, puffy coat on me, and boy is it uncomfortable. I feel very smushed in my car seat.

And it was so windy on Sunday that our neighbors' trampoline blew out of their backyard, over their fence and in to the next yard. I don't think those kids get to jump on that anymore, because it fell on a fence and broke in half!

My Friend Selene

This past week Selene came over at night to play because her mommy was out of town for work. Man, she moves around a lot and is hard to keep up with! But we had lots of fun together and both mommy and daddy thought it was nice that I had someone to play with.

Even though Selene is a big girl, she wanted to crawl with me.

Hey Selene, do you think you can open this gate for me?

Yes! With teamwork we were able to break through this gate.

Mommy let me go in the big tub with Selene, and now I get to take baths in the big tub too!

Happy Birthday Grandma!

Today is my grandma's birthday! Mommy says we need to get a picture of the two of us together that is current, so maybe when she babysits me on Saturday we will take one together.

Happy Birthday Grandma! I love you!

Fall Festival

On Sunday mommy, daddy, Selene and I went to Newton Hills to have a Fall Festival! We played in the leaves, decorated pumpkins, ate yummy food and had fun. It was really nice outside except for these mean ladybugs that kept biting.

Leaf pile!

Mateo and Selene are painting their pumpkins. I'm not old enough to paint or carve, so I played with Nana and Papa.

Aunt Rissa carved the bat and Uncle Greg carved Kaden's pirate. Arrrr!

These leaves feel weird!

Mateo says "time to party!" and gives our Fall Festival a thumbs up.

Mmmmm Mmmmm Good

Mommy rented some play food from the toy library to go with my kitchen set. Boy, that food looks so good! And I tried my best to eat it... but I don't think I was doing something right. But it was fun to pretend.

This bread is a little dry.

Puppy Love

When I was at Grandma and Grandpa's on Saturday I got to see some other people too: Brooklynn, my Great Aunt Rita, Great Uncle Jake, and their puppy, Molly. I love puppies!! This one was faster than me though, so I had to crawl pretty fast to try and catch her.

Come here Molly, I won't hurt you!

Got her!

I also like Kade and Mateo's puppy, Ninja. She is a big puppy.
Aunt Christa and uncle Ryan have a puppy too - Astro. Seems like everyone has a puppy except me... good thing I get to be a puppy for Halloween!

Beckett Russell, Coming Through

My daycare lady, Barb, has been sick and my mommy hasn't been feeling well either. So I've been spending a lot of time with daddy, and grandpa and grandma. I waved at grandpa the other day, so now you know I wave at more than just friendly ladies at Wal-Mart.

Mommy hopes that when I'm staying at my grandparents (like I am again today) that I'm not leaving their house a big mess like I am ours. I can't help it though, I love to explore everything, and I get bored with my toys pretty fast.

Mommy just cleaned my room.

But that's no fun, is it?

My destruction is not just limited to my room.

The book I am very interested in here is my Curious George stories. My Great Aunt Patti gave it to me, and inside it says "To Beckett, with much love and hopes he'll be just as curious." Well, nobody has to worry about that!

10 Months Old

Can you believe I'm 10 months old now?! Neither can I! I'm getting to be a big boy.... I can crawl, I feed myself (although mommy thinks I'm pretty messy), I love to climb up stairs, I have 8 teeth, and I love being able to stand against things and see what is going on.

Last week when I was at the doctor for my infections he said I weighed 22 pounds. I don't know how tall I am, we'll have to wait until I am ONE!

And can you believe my onesie still fits me? Mom and dad never would have guessed that I could wear it this long. It's getting a little snug, so I won't be sad to say goodbye to it when December gets here.

OK, here's your picture.

Daddy says we're not done yet.

I don't want to take anymore pictures! I hate this onesie!

30 Minute Meals With Beckett

Now that I'm eating more big boy food, I've taken interest in what's for dinner. Let's just say that mom and dad need a little help in that area. So, I've been practicing making dinner in my own kitchen. Maybe some day I can help make some meals too! Mommy says she is more than happy to share cooking duties with anyone.
First, I need to wash my hands.

A little of this....

Mmmmm, this is pretty tasty!

This carpet is pretty tasty too!

Guess what? I waved this weekend! It wasn't at daddy, it wasn't at mommy... it was at the Wal-Mart checkout lady. She was so friendly and waved to me, so I waved back. Daddy said it sure would be nice if I waved at him or mommy.

P is for Puppy, Papa and Phooey

Guess what I'm going to be for Halloween? Scooby Doo! Mommy tried my outfit on me a couple of nights ago to make sure it fit. She took some pictures too because she wasn't sure if I would sit still if we waited for Halloween.

I'm pacing in my dog kennel.

I wish I knew how to get this mask off.

Well, if I can't get it off I guess I will just see how it tastes.

And it's my Papa's birthday today!
Happy Birthday Papa!

I know you're having a good day Papa, but mine hasn't been as fun. Mommy had to take me to the doctor tonight because I kept pulling on my ear. The doctor said I have a sinus infection, an ear infection and a very red throat. He said it might be strep, but he didn't want to make me go through testing since the medicine he gave me will get rid of it anyway. I'm going to take it easy tomorrow, and then I can go back to Barb's on Friday to see all of my friends.
