Christmas... All Done

Well, Christmas is all done. Mommy says we need to take the Christmas tree down because I have decided I am no longer OK with "pretty no touch" but that I need to touch. I can't help it - you should see how many balls are on the Christmas tree!!
Mommy said we were "going green" this year with the wrapping paper. It did look different from other presents people gave me.

The grandkids with grandpa and grandma at Christmas.

Over vacation I have been reading some of mommy's magazines. She says she doesn't have time to read them, so somebody should.

I have a new sign. When I put my leg out like this it means I want to get on the couch. I'm a little upset here because mommy is taking my picture instead of helping me on the couch. Can't you see my sign??

OK, everything is better now. I have my ball, my sippy, and I'm on the couch. Whew.

I forgot to tell you how my last doctor appointment went. I now weigh 23 1/2 pounds (50th) and am 31 1/2 inches tall (90th). My head is still big. But mommy and daddy say it's the cutest head they've ever seen (I think they're supposed to say that, but I'll take it!)

Karsyn, I miss you - see you soon!

Merry Christmas!

Merry Christmas everyone - the fun is still going! Last night mommy and daddy and me went to a church where everyone sang and sang and then lit candles. I was disappointed I didn't get to hold my own candle, but maybe next year. I hope everyone has a Merry Christmas, and Happy Birthday to Jesus!

I'm the daycare reindeer.

Daddy says this is Santa. I'm not sure why I had to sit on his lap. He left some nice presents under the tree this morning though!

Christmas Begins

This Christmas stuff seems like a fun deal. We started celebrating on Saturday with Great Grandma Ardis and family. There's too many of us to fit in a house, so we went to a community center. It was my first Christmas with that side of the family because I was sick last year. It didn't take me long to get to know everyone and jump in on the fun.

And daddy got a Christmas present too - the University of Sioux Falls won the national championship title and mommy let him watch the whole game before coming to Christmas.

Papa and Kaden are boxing!

Me and Danny, Emma's boyfriend.

Great Aunt Glenda and I are thirsty.

Abigail is playing with her new toy and I'm trying to figure out how to play Apples to Apples. It looked like mommy and her cousins were having fun.

Kaden and I are going to play Catch Phrase together. Can you see Kaden? He's in his camo pajamas!
Last night we went with the Kleinhans to look at Christmas lights. They were pretty neat, but there were two houses that had lights that went with music!! Woah!

Aunt Emma

My Aunt Emma is back in town and we've been spending some time together. Boy is she fun to play with! She crawls all over with me and chases me when I'm walking. She's way more active than mom and dad. She also took me to play with Kaden and Mateo last night.

Emma is good at sharing.

Want me to cook you something?

Mmmmm, a feast at the Kleinhans!

Kaden and Mateo got bunk beds for Christmas! I'm a little nervous because this is way higher than my crib. Emma, don't let go.

This is our fort behind the couch.
Remember how I had a birthday a little bit ago? I have two friends who are one now too! Happy Birthday to Nolan and Mia!!

I'm A Walkin'

I've been practicing walking a lot more. I usually stop if mom tries to tape me, but tonight I let her capture a little of my walking.

Walking to my easy chair.

This was on Sunday - pajama day. Mommy and I did not leave the house because it was minus 30+ degrees out! I have no idea what that means. Mommy says it means we stay inside. Well anyway, I was cranky about mommy and daddy taping me.

All those fun birthday presents, and guess which one I play with the most? My new box!

My Name is Beckett

My new favorite thing to do is to say my name. I won't say it to mommy and daddy, because they know my name already! I say it to Angela, and said it to Uncle Greg and Aunt Rissa too. Mom and dad act very goofy trying to get me to say my name but the only thing I'll do is pat my chest if they say "Beckett" to me. Come on guys, you know who I am!!

Here are some more pictures from daycare. Mommy says she needs to remember to take pictures of me too! Maybe after Christmas when things slow down a little.

I'm reading a book to the other daycare kids. I love to read!

Smile!

Doing a little shopping. Mommy says to remember some whole milk!

Here's me doing my favorite sign: more

New Daycare

In all the excitement of my birthday I forgot to tell you that someone new watches me while mommy and daddy are at work. Her name is Angela. Oh man, it's so fun to go to her house! She has lots of fun toys, feeds me yummy food, and cuddles with me if I miss my parents.

Angela has 3 kids of her own: Karsyn and twins Chace and Houston. Mommy says Karsyn is 2 and the twins are 6 months. Two other kids come too, and their names are Karson and Klaire. Karson is 2 like the other Karsyn and Klaire is one like me!

Mommy told me that when I was still in her tummy that her and daddy wanted Angela to watch me but that she had to take care of herself and her twins first. I know why, because I have so much fun there! Angela sent mommy these pictures from last week. Mommy loves getting pictures of me at work.

This is our "little kid" group

Angela told my mom I was trying to water Klaire to see if she would grow

I'm reading a book to Houston... or Chace? I'm still trying to tell them apart.

This card is so interesting!

A pretty tree! Mommy says we'll try to put one up at our house if I can be nice to it.

My Birthday

Yesterday was a busy day. After we got that onesie picture out of the way dad and I went shopping for what mommy called "last minute things" for my party. Then I was supposed to take a nap, but I couldn't sleep for long because I could tell something fun was going to happen.
And it did! Lots of my family and friends came over and I got to crawl and walk around all over the house with them. There was more people at the table than usual when we had lunch, and then I got to tear paper off a bunch of things. Selene helped me because I think I was going to slow. I don't know if everyone went to the toy library or what, but there was lots of toys!

Mommy made my cake. It turned out better than the baptism shamrock.

I didn't even have to wait to open this present - a bean bag from Christa and Ryan!

I'm one!

Selene and daddy helping me open presents. Why do people cover them up? I just want to play!

Test driving my Dora scooter from the Kleinhans. Beep beep!

And then guess who had chocolate cake? I did! I'm not sure what the big deal was, but everyone was staring at me while I slowly picked off the frosting. Then dad gave me a spoon and showed me how to dig in to the cake. Mmmmmm, I had almost forgotten how good cake was.

This is a ball I can eat!

This was as messy as I got. I don't want to get tooooo dirty.

After I got up from my nap, I read my birthday cards. In all the excitement I forgot to look at them before. Who knew birthdays were so much fun!

One Year Old!

I made it! I'm one now! Mommy stepped on the scale with me this morning and says I'm 23 1/2 pounds, but we'll know for sure next week when I go to the doctor for a checkup. And, I decided I've cooperated long enough with the onesie so the pictures didn't turn out like mom and dad wanted.

This thing is very tight in the crotch, especially with my diaper.

I don't have time to look at the camera!

Can't forget my Nuk! Mommy says maybe we'll have it gone by my next birthday.
Mommy, daddy and me are tuckered out from my birthday party. I'll try to post the pictures tomorrow. I got to see lots of family and friends, and eat cake again! Just like the good old days with Barb. =)

New Shoes

As an early birthday present Grandma got me some new shoes! The lady that put them on my said I am a tall boy and my feet are a little wide. After she got them on I walked around with Aunt Christa. I've been wearing them ever since, and decided to do a little more modeling tonight.

How about I lean like this?

I'm Mr. Flexible!

This is my cheerleader pose

My George Costanza pose

I had to show you the bottom of my shoes - little feet just like mine!

The Tunnel

Mommy rented a tunnel from the toy library and I am having a lot of fun with it. I crawl through as fast as I can, and dad throws balls in it and then I have to chase after those. Mommy said her favorite part of the tunnel is that it folds up really small to put away. But that's no fun mommy!

Peek-a-boo!

Retrieving my football.

Mommy calls this diaper butt.

How did the tunnel stand?! It's Uncle Greg!

Oh look, it can bend and talk too!
