Housework is Never Done

Mom and dad like to clean on the weekends (mommy says this is daddy's idea, not hers) and this time I wanted to help. They said to help away because there are no labor laws in our house. What does that mean?

Keeping the kitchen floor clean and getting the recycling ready to take out.

Time to work on the living room.

This isn't so slick on the carpet. I wonder if I try this end instead...

Finger Painting is Yummy

Mommy let me finger paint today. She was excited to see if I would be a good artist. Well, the painting was OK, but eating it was way better. Mommy said she was glad it wasn't real paint.

Let me at it!

A little yellow here...

Lots of yellow here...

Mmmm, and the rest of the yellow here.

First Kiss

I forgot to tell you about my first kiss. It happened at daycare last week, and I swear I wasn't the one who did it. Klaire kissed me! Maybe it was my spiffy outfit, or my winning personality, or maybe Klaire is thinking Karsyn and I are too close of friends. But hey, I'm not complaining!

Playing by the window... maybe this was a date and I didn't know it?

Right after the kiss. See, I told you I wasn't complaining!

The next day - I'm just playing it cool.

Hungry Man

I don't know if it's getting these big teeth, but I have been so hungry lately! Today at lunch, Angela told mommy that I had 6 chicken nuggets, a bowl of beans, and a bowl of peaches. And then of course I had a snack 2 hours later. I always eat my own snack, and sometimes Klaire and Karsyn will share some of theirs too.

Two hours later when mommy brought me home I had a bowl of corn, 5 crackers, some yogurt melts, and a handful of sweet potato puffs. And tonight for dinner I had hamburger and tomatoes from mom's chili, half of a tortilla and 4 pieces of turkey.

I'm not sure what a teenager is, but mommy said she worries about our grocery bill when I am one. Come on, I gotta eat! Oh, daddy says I shouldn't forget to tell that I am no longer crying for a bottle. Hooray for me!

Hungry Monster

Is there anything better than dinner??

I need to wash this down with some milk.

Mommy says don't show people your food, but I'm still working on my table manners.

And I can eat as much as I want to, so there!

Tough Life

Sometimes life is tough. This week my first one-year molar came through and it was not fun. Mommy looked in my mouth and said it looks like the next one won't be long either. Thank goodness Angela told my parents about this teether that they can put flavored ice cubes in!

And then the worst part. Mom and dad took away my bottle. No more yummy goodness before bed... instead they are trying to feed me this gross stuff mom calls oatmeal. It feels too funny in my mouth and I don't like it.

I have a secret though. If I scream loud and long enough, and it's really late at night sometimes I get a bottle. =)

Ah, the good ole days.

Talking Up a Storm

Now that I see that people can understand me better I am talking all the time. Daddy says that I get that from mommy. Today alone I said jump, deer and thank you. Of course it helps when I have Karsyn jumping to point at, or the stuffed deer to point to, or that I'm doing my "thank you" sign along with saying the word.

Daddy and mommy took some pictures and videos of me this week so you can see what I've been up to.

I figured out how to get around on my tractor. Where are the fields?

Just one of my conversations with mom.

My favorite place to play is on the couch. And now I can get down by myself!

Shooting hoops with daddy.

My Friend Karsyn

I need to tell you about my good friend Karsyn. She's a little older than me, but boy do we have fun playing together all day! She plays peek-a-boo with me, teaches me new words, and I usually try to copy what she does. Today I saw Karsyn dipping her green beans in ketchup, so I decided I needed to do that.

Karsyn likes me too! She saw me doing my "more" sign at snack time, and she decided to try it out. She told me I am her best friend, and when I have to go home she blows me kisses.

We decided it would be fun to play in the bucket instead of with the toys that were in it.

Hugs!

Best Friends

Bye Bye Emma

My Aunt Emma is going far away tomorrow. Mommy and daddy said she is going to somewhere called England and that she'll be there for 4 months. I'm going to miss her! Mommy said she will miss her too.

I love you Emma!

And We're Off

I haven't posted in a few days... I have just been busy! I'm walking around, saying new words like Emma, dance, Papa, wow and bye. I even surprised mommy and said Beckett! I'm back at daycare having fun with new toys, and I can get down from the couch all by myself. Now if only I could get up by myself then I wouldn't have to stick my leg out!

My good friend Nolan stopped by for a Christmas visit!

Grandpa is also going green - he got me a tractor to ride on!

The stress of being one!

Happy belated birthday to Uncle Ryan! My new resolution is no more blog birthday wishes... Hey people, I can't read a calendar! And if you know my mom, you know she's not the best at reminding me.

A Year In Review

Happy New Year everyone! Mommy and daddy and I were looking at pictures of me when I was little, and I love to look at pictures and especially when they are of me. Here's some pictures from last year that I didn't share on my blog (well, at least I don't think I did, a year can be a long time to remember!)

That's all 8lb 5oz of me in mommy's tummy!

Snuggling with daddy after my arrival.

Mom already has me posing for photos at one week.

Man, it's hard lifting this big head off the ground!

Woah, I need to lay off the formula!

Learning how to stick out my tongue, and I miss that floor gym!

Ahhh, my first taste of real food. Where has this been?

I love my camo jammies and my jumperoo!

Practicing with my sippy. This is when Pink Pig and I went to Rapid City!

This summer I was in the van a lot - this is usually what I looked like.

This swimming stuff is way better than the tub, but I do miss the bubbles.

This is what happens to your nose when you eat too many carrots.

Puppies are my favorite, so I loved being Scooby for Halloween!

My easy chair just like daddy's.

Guess what's in my hair? Hint: I had a really snotty nose that week. Daddy said it reminded him of a movie.

It's not the real thing, but this horse is really fun to ride on!

My new friends at daycare.

New shoes! These are great for walking!

Whew, that was a big year. Will 2009 be so full?

Mommy put that onesie away!! No more onesies in 2009!
