Butterflies

Last week I went to the Butterfly House with grandma and Brooklynn. I kind of remember going there last year, but this time I got to walk around and check things out for myself. And I'm really good at spotting things flying around in the air.

Knock Knock

Who's there? It's me! Last night when mommy and daddy were in the dining room talking I surprised them by crawling out of my crib and opening my door to peek out and say hi. Well, I think they were a little scared at first. Then I got to stay up for a little bit while daddy took the soft part out of my crib and got his tools out to make it harder for me to climb out.

That didn't stop me either because I'm a little monkey just like the monkeys in my room! I came out a few more times during the night just to make sure everyone was doing OK. But then mommy got mad just like my "Just Go To Bed" book and said to stay in bed. I was tired after all that monkey business so I did.

And this morning I was all ready to go to Angela's and tell everyone about my new tricks, so I had mommy put on my shoes and I got my hat on too, but mommy reminded me that today it was just me and her and both of us would probably be taking naps. Awww man!

I can go to daycare in my pjs, it's OK.

Well let's go!

Brushing My Teeth

I love, love, love to brush my teeth. The other day mommy wasn't sure where I was and she went upstairs to find me in the bathroom with my toothbrush and toothpaste brushing my teeth. She said my second cousin Jessie would be so proud!

Gotta keep my beautiful chompers nice and clean!

I have a hard time standing still when I brush. I walk all around the house.

My Friend Matthew

One of my neighbors is named Matthew. He is a little older than me and he's pretty fun to play with. He came over to my house to play with some of my toys, and then we went to his house and he showed me his brand new swing set. Good thing we both know how to share!

Daddy is helping us ride this toy. Mommy brought it back to the toy library today. =(

Quack Quack

I love to look outside the window and look for birds. I usually see them before anyone else. Yesterday daddy saw a big one - but it was a duck! So we went outside to see her. She was across the street getting a drink, but while we played outside she came over to my neighbor's house so I could see her close up. I just kept squealing "quack quack" at her, but she didn't quack back. Maybe I wasn't quacking loud enough for her. Oh well, it was fun to see her.

The duck was thirsty and drinking water from the street.

Daddy says we have to be careful in case the duck gets mad or is sick.

School's Out Sleepover

Friday night I had a sleepover at my house with Aunt Rissa, Kaden and Mateo. We were celebrating school being out! We did this last year too, and mommy says we might make it a tradition. Except this year we didn't take the tent outside and it didn't blow away like it did last year (mommy and Kaden had to get in the van and chase after it!)

Food Artist

I got a little bored over tonight's meal of lasagna, so I decided to get a little creative with my food instead of eating it. Don't tell mom and dad but I don't like leftovers!

My New Slide

Thanks to Rylee and Carter's mom (well and their dad too!) I have a new slide!! Mommy and I were playing on it today, but good thing it's a big heavy slide or it might have blown away like my hat almost did. I can almost climb up the slide by myself, but for now I still need a little help.

Not quite sure what I do next. Mom, I need some help here. Put the camera down.

Today is the 200th time I've written on my blog. Can you believe it? I know, I know. I've been slipping lately... I'll try to make the next 100 more regular. Mommy is off work for the summer so maybe she can help me. I'm still going to go to daycare a couple days a week though because it's way more fun there and mommy still wants a little vacation. She says it's a "win win" situation. I say it sounds good to me! And aunt Rissa gets the summer off too so I also get to play with her, Kaden and Mateo. But here's what I've been up to lately.

The Outhouse

I have a new hiding spot. Angela has a tupperware cupboard that is perfect for hiding! And perfect for some other things. Last time Angela peeked in there to find me I was grunting and red faced. She showed me I could go on the potty if I wanted, but I think it's more fun to have my private cupboard.

Angela told mommy that I sat on the potty for about 45 minutes today. I kept asking Angela to bring me stuff. Hey, a boy needs certain things when he's on the potty!
